Enter the fascinating world of nature seen from a microscopic perspective in the workshop, ‘Microscopic Drawing Tour’, hosted by Inge van Noortwijk, scientific illustrator at Naturalis Biodiversity Centre. During this workshop you will be taught, with the aid of a microscope, how to discover and depict the hidden details of the natural world.

Inge will guide you in rendering the miniscule miracles that normally go unseen. Using a binocular instrument and a technique called mirror drawing, you will discover the wonders of the microscopic world and learn how to depict these faithfully. Inge’s passion for the natural world and her scientific background help provide a unique opportunity to experience the world around you from a fresh perspective.

This workshop presents an inspiring experience for both the skilled illustrator and the amateur. Allow yourself to be amazed by the smallest details in the natural world and learn how to capture these with care and precision!
