I Resist – animated poster exhibition

KABOOM Animation Festival and the Illustration Embassy are collaborating on a project: the ‘I resist’ animated poster exhibition curated by Animated W/World.

An open call was held to gather illustrators, animators and artists to participate in the ‘I resist’ animated poster exhibition. The animated posters will be a part of the 2025 KABOOM Animation Festival and the Illustration Embassy exhibition “Drawing Urban Wilderness”. The talented illustrators, animators and artists that will be showing their work at the “I resist” Animated Poster Exhibition are:

De samenwerking tussen Kaboom, Animated Women/World en de Illustratie Ambassade gaat verder met de AR-tentoonstelling ‘I resist’. Deze expositie reist van het Stadskantoor in Utrecht naar de Illustratie Ambassade in Amsterdam en toont affiches en animaties van creatieve talenten wereldwijd, die thema’s als verzet en verandering verkennen, verrijkt met augmented reality.

About Manu Weiss, Creative XR Producer & Curator, Animated Women / World

With a background in design and animation, Manu Weiss has made her mark in various positions in the animation industry, academia, and R&D. However, her passion for pushing the boundaries of technology and art has led her to produce and curate immersive media exhibitions and festivals, introducing many audiences into the world of AR and VR.
She is also a dedicated advocate for talent development, having built several creative industry networks, initiatives, and conferences. For Manu, the intersection of new technologies, art, and storytelling with a focus on animation is the sweet spot. She firmly believes that technology can be harnessed as a tool for creative expression to inform, engage, and entertain audiences across various platforms.
